this is based on a Dodge St. Regis (1979-1981) which was known for its poor sales and bad timing to enter the market due to the 2nd oil crisis that happened in its introduction year that made gas prices even worse than they already were at the time and it was pretty much a fleet-only car but there were some civilian models sold
needless to say it was a flop that struggled to compete with the way more successful and better-engineered 1977 redesign of the full-size general motors lineup because of this
