Regarding your question: authors can currently add a website to their profile page. But I assume you mean on the detail page of a mod, right? That information is currently missing there, but I’ll bring it back. The same goes for the email address. That slipped through the cracks a bit, so thanks for pointing it out!

Ich hätte allerdings eine Anmerkung bzw. eine Frage: Auf dem alten Design konnte man früher die Website oder die E-Mail-Adresse eines Autors finden.
Früher konnte man bei einem hochgeladenen Mod die Website und die E-Mail-Adresse des Autors sehen.
Wird es dafür wieder eine Lösung geben, damit die Leute meinen Blog finden können?

E-e-eh... I don't know, Alex, so I love the old style so much, it carries so many memories and a hint of nostalgia, because I've been using gtainside since 2004, you know.
How about if you add a little "Back to OG gtainside" button somewhere in the corner? :-)

@Gettoru: Maybe I can find a solution for it in the future. I think on the pro side is that it's no longer mixed up. We have dedicated areas for each game.
@SomeGuy86: The source code was no longer handable and it was in some parts 20 years old. The decision was: Close the website or bring it to the state-of-the-art. I never want to close this page.

The new UI looks cool, sleek, but I really don't like the "choose your game" bit a the top, because I don't play just one GTA, I enjoy nearly all titles from GTA 3 onwards, so I like to keep up with mods for all the games available on PC. I do appreciate it for the people that are only interested in one of the games, but I suggest adding a new option called "All GTA" to show.

Since you’ve asked for suggestions and want to hear our opinions and feedback,
I’d suggest increasing the number of photos allowed per post to 10 instead of 8 so that the photos are displayed in a more attractive layout,
or reducing it to 7
so that one large photo is displayed at the top
with 6 images below, or 9

Hey guys, thanks for your feedback. I will take your ideas with me and it will get updates. This is just the beginning.
@M4k3: You're right, at the moment it only searches for mod names. I will implement an "extended search" where you can also search for authors and so on. And I get your point with the subcategories: In the "old" GTAinside you had a dedicated page with all categories but no mods were shown and only the category names. That's why I didn't like it. The compromise was to hide the excess categories behind a "Show More" button, while still allowing the mods for the main category to be visible right away. I don't think there is a perfect solution. I also don't want to limit the number of categories. For "Cars" for example to just 10.
It will take a moment because I want to stabilize the new system. It's built from scratch because the old one was too outdated and no longer manageable. After my vacation I will start implementing more stuff.

While I'm glad that star rating system is replaced with more basic likes/dislikes system (so people won't even rate 1/10 on my mods, though there's dislikes), and there's an ability to follow other person's updates, what I don't like in this update are lack of profile descriptions and inability to search mods by author (or even by description, which was an inability after some moment afaik; agreeing with M4k3/XanaBax).
(I also miss those good old animated emojis, afaik they had a really great run on this site until now)
I think the top bar with "choose ur game" and subcategories takes a little too much vertical space on 16:9 PC monitor https://imgur.com/Wtt6k7o
I also believe the search is broken. I think it ignores the mod authors and description and only tries to find matches in mod's name
Finally, I guess the subcategories menu isn't that good on iPhone like the text is too close to each other https://imgur.com/dds6SjR
I think the new UI is fine, other than some minor Engrish like "There are 8 comments posted yet." instead of "There are 8 comments posted." or "[user] has no follower yet." instead of "[user] has no followers."
The one thing I have a problem with is that looking at someone's mod page only shows thumbnails, without titles, which can get confusing.
